MAN to start field trials of electric buses from 2018

Germany - In 2018, MAN Bus & Truck AG of Munich says it plans to unveil a pre-series version of a battery-electric bus to the public and to conduct a field trial in everyday use, in collaboration with various European operators. Series production of a 100-percent electrically driven city bus, MAN says, is scheduled to commence in late 2019. In preparation for this, in recent months MAN has set up partnerships with transportation companies in the cities of Luxemburg, Hamburg, Hamburg-Holstein, Munich and Wolfsburg.
