MKT: Forecast: Independent consultancies revise production forecasts upwards for 2020 in Brazil

Brazil-According to Power Systems Consulting Research (PSCR) of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo State, total production of trucks and buses 3.5t gvw and above in Brazil could reach 96,000 units in 2020, an increase of 9,000 units from forecasts of 87,000 commercial vehicles forecast in early April. The key reason for this change is the good performance of the agricultural business segment. This revised forecast number, however, would still represent a drop of 31.4% over the volume assembled in 2019 of 144,000. The output forecast is based on CV sales in Brazil's domestic market of 85,000 units. However, this estimate is much more optimistic than that forecast by Brazil's manufacturers and traders association, ANFAVEA, which estimates sales of 75,000 domestically (65,000 trucks and 10,000 buses).
