Voith forms robotics joint venture with start-up robot maker Franka Emika

Germany - The Voith Group of Heidenheim, Germany has announced it has set up a new joint-venture company called Voith Robotics GmbH with Munich-based start-up robot manufacturer, Franka Emika GmbH. Voith Robotics, which was established in September 2018, is part of the Voith Digital Ventures Group Division, itself a recently established group division of Voith (est. 2016) with the primary aim of achieving automation and digitalisation of industrial processes and production. The Digital Ventures Group Division is headed by Dr Roland Munch as president and CEO of the Board of Management.
