BIZ: Investment/Sustainability: Tata Motors' energy savings measures at Lucknow plant yield a 38% energy reduction per vehicle

Mumbai/Lucknow/New Delhi-Tata Motors Ltd of Mumbai has reported it has successfully reduced energy use in all the manufacturing/operational processes at its truck and bus chassis factory in Lucknow where it manufactures some 640 vehicles per day. This energy saving initiative is the outcome of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed in November 2017 with Energy Efficiencies Services Limited (EESL) of New Delhi to implement various initiatives across a number of plants (Pantnagar (Uttarakhand), Lucknow and Pune) to save energy and resources (See article Truck & Bus Builder India February 2018).
