Brexit uncertainty may lift tyre aftermarket

Like it or not, Brexit is coming. Without a free-trade agreement the price of agricultural tyres will increase by four per cent, but that is the least of our worries. Although the government is now proposing to keep basing farm payments until 2024, worst case scenario estimates project a halving of agricultural incomes should we fail to secure a free-trade agreement with the European Union. Adding this to the question mark that still hangs over post-Brexit trading relationships with major non-European partners, it's no surprise that Brexit and its potential effect on agricultural machinery and tyre sales in the UK remains a key talking point as we enter 2018.
