East Midlands Gateway boasts a 280ha logistics park and a rail freight interchange that can accommodate 775m long trains, with storage for up to 250 containers. A 7km rail line was built to link the interchange to an existing freight line at Castle Donington, along with a highway bypass of the village of Kegworth and junction improvements on the M1. Adjacent to the site is East Midlands Airport.
