Is "profit" a dirty word? Sometimes an enterprise's mission is so great and those responsible are so passionate about it, the notion of profit is either forgotten or regarded as an obstacle to providing a needed service.It's well to remember, however, that in order to be there for clients and pets, profit is a necessary part of the operation. Increasing profit may enable more takehome pay for teammates—and thus serve as a draw to attract more skilled employees or retain existing, experienced employees. Increasing profit may also provide revenue for future growth-investment in new equipment or an additional service.
