Mentor's advice paved the way for RTEC's ASTI support

Andy Ross, president of RTEC Treecare, an accredited, 20-year TCIA member company based in Falls Church, Virginia, remembers exactly what inspired him to become involved in TCIA. It was the words of former TCIA board member Walt Money, now retired from the tree care business but still an important part of Ross's business philosophy. "Walt is a mentor of mine, and when I was new to TCIA, he said, 'Andy, you should get involved. You'll get back what you put into this business.' So now when I have the time or extra resources, I try to give back in whatever way I can."
