They say that blood is thicker than water. At Georgia Power, blood may be more powerful than a 500-kV power line. That's because power systems engineering has pulsed through three generations of the Lawrence family - from grandfather Jack Lawrence in the 1950s to 1980s, through son Joe in the 1980s through today, and into the hands of Jack's granddaughter (and Joe's daughter), Sarah, who started at Georgia Power in 2013.
