摘要

The peach fruit fty, B. zonata, was reared on four kinds of fruits as well as an artificial diet to study the biology and life fable parameters under laboratory conditions. The averages of larval duration periods were 9.93, 10.99, 10.64, 10.70 and 10.36 days on navel orange, mandarin, peach, banana and the artificial diet, respectively. The corresponding respective averages of pupal periods were 12.0, 12.5, 11.14, 10.03 and 10.79 days. The heaviest weight of pupae was 8.01 mg on the artificial diet,while it was 7.0 mg on all of the other tested host fruits. Significant differences were found in the larval and pupal mortality among all tested host fruits. The averages of total number of eggs per female reared on navel orange mandarin, peach, bananaand the artificial diet were 525.33, 74.5, 217.83, 372.33 and 234.17 respectively. Significant differences in the pre-oviposition, oviposition and post-oviposition periods were recorded between the different tested host fruits. Data of the life table parameters revealed that the highest value of net reproductive rate (Ro) was 93.4 individual/female on banana, while it was 3.45 on mandarin. The shortest value of generation time (Gt) was 79.42 days on mandarin followed by 89.95, 100.62, 103.74, 116.56 days on banana, peach, artificial diet and navel orange, respectively. The highest values of intrinsic rate of increase (Rm) and finite rate of mcrease (gamma) were 0.45 and 1.56 individual/female/day, respectively, on banana. The shortest value of population doubling time (Dt) was 1.93 days on banana fruits. It is concluded that banana fruits were the most preferable tested hast for rearing B. zonata under laboratory conditions.
