Mr Vergnano added: "At the back end of this crisis, there is going to be some level of economic stimulus (i.e. Government-inspired measures to reboot national economies). The TiO2 industry has always in the past responded extremely well to stimulus. It is a GDP-driven industry and stimulus is designed to lift GDP, especially in the construction industry. So, when the stimulus kicks in, there will be an upswing in the TiO2 demand curve, which was already starting to move upwards just before the pandemic struck."
