BASE RESOURCES: Sees Continuing Strong Demand for Its Ilmenite

The supply constraints on ilmenite and rutile are continuing, which is maintaining tight market conditions and supporting price improvement. Through the September quarter we did see further price gains on both ilmenite and rutile and we are certainly seeing that going into the December 2019 quarter as well. The TiCh pigment industry in July/ December 2019 is perhaps a bit softer than was originally expected, but the pigment producers are continuing to operate at high capacity utilisation levels. So that is sustaining a strong demand for titanium feedstocks."
