Variety Release Committee Report 2019 Dedicated Research Funding Report ASSCT Joint Annual Meeting

Yariety Release CommitteeChairman Chris Mattingly called a▼ meeting of the committee on April 10, 2019 to discuss the release of three new varieties for commercial production. The committee is composed of representative researchers from Louisiana State University, United States Department of Agriculture and the American Sugar Cane League. After a comprehensive discussion, it was unanimously decided that L 12-201 and Ho 12-615 will be released to the Louisiana sugarcane industry for commercial production. The other candidate variety, Ho 12-630 will not be released and droppedfrom the testing program due to poor stubble yields.
