Consumers Across EU Struggling To Interpret Nutrition And Health Claims

Consumers across the EU often do not consciously diferen- tiate between nutrition claims and health claims made on food products, including supplements, in the way that regu- latory experts do. Furthermore, claims are regularly misunderstood and not interpreted correctly. These are the fndings of a study published in the journal Nutrients which assessed understanding of nutrition and health claims among consumers in fve EU markets.
