Dutch OTCs note shelf life

Almost all re-usable OTC medicines marketed in the Netherlands now contain information about their shelf life after opening thanks to a collaboration between the country’s self-care industry association, Neprofarm, and the Dutch medicines agency, the MEB. Speaking exclusively to OTC bulletin, Neprofarm director Bernard Mauritz described as a “success” the initiative which had resulted in 92% of reusable OTC medicines, such as cough treatments and nasal sprays, now containing expiration date information.
