Introducing electronic patient information leaflets (e-PILs) across Europe would improve patient safety and make trade easier between European countries, according to Einar Magnússon, Iceland’s representative on the Council of Europe’s pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical care committee, the CD-P-PH. After years of pushing for the Council to investigate the issue, he’s had a breakthrough, with the CD-P-PH finally agreeing to look into the possible benefits of e-PILs.
