摘要

Music contributes significantly to how viewers enjoy planetarium shows. Many viewers often do not even notice that a score was present in a show, but whether they consciously noticed the music or not, they are still affected by it. As Ian McLennan, former director of Strasenburgh Planetarium in Rochester, New York says, "Sound is half the experience whether you are aware of it or not" (McLennan 2020). In our previous paper (Yu 2019), we looked at three of the aesthetic elements that define the planetarium experience (immersing audiences visually, taking them on a journey, and having a live presenter) as defined by Croft (2008). Here, we focus on the aesthetic of music.
