You study children with 'callous and unemotional' traits. What are they actually like to work with -it must be hard to connect?I think these children are a lot easier to engage in research than they are to work with in a school setting, or to parent. They can be perfectly charming. You can have a session where you just wouldn't know that you are meeting a child who presents with challenging behaviour. They come and take part in research on volunteer basis.
