Operation Rescript - Military Engineering Support to the NHS

Operation Rescript, the military contribution to the UK Government response to the Covid-19 pandemic, has provided an unprecedented challenge for military engineers. This short article seeks to provide an insight into some of those challenges, how they were met and what can be learned for the future. It will focus around activities conducted by the Military Mentoring and Advisory Team (MMAT), commanded by Major Gary Jackson RE, at the London Nightingale hospital at the ExCel arena but will draw lessons across the other Nightingale projects and Military Assessment Team(MAT) activities from 22 Mar - 7 Apr 20.
