The First Great British Protozoologist -Revisiting Edward Alfred Minchin

Edward Alfred Minchin was a professor of both zoology and protozoology at the University of London and produced important, pioneering work on sponges and trypanosome parasites. He was also the President of the Quekett Microscopical Club from 1908 to 1912, and was hailed by zoologist Arthur Dendy who succeeded him as President as "One of the most distinguished men of science who have ever occupied the presidential chair of this club".
