KINTAIL HONEY: FAMILY AND PASSION

Dudley Ward set up Kintail Honey in Dannevirke in southern Hawke's Bay in 1947. After his death 23 years ago, the central base was integrated into the Takapau site that had been established in 1978; still part of the same family-owned business that has grown exponentially.It has the same name and two more generations of the family are involved, but has grown from the original 300 hives to more than 10,000.
