摘要

Good morning, colleagues and delegates. I am honored to be standing here before you to give my last address as President of Trauma Association of Canada (TAC), a position I have been equally honored to have the privilege of holding over the past 2 years. In thinking about this address, I came up with the theme of "Advocacy," as this had been bantered about many times over the past years, and comes to light every year most notably within presentations of the annual Murray Girotti Injury Prevention lecture. Indeed, the role of TAC in advocacy, especially in the realm of injury prevention, seems to have a natural fit. Even before, when Murray was still around, I remember many discussions with him regarding how TAC needs to "do more". I think he would be very proud of where we have come since then.
