One of the things that came out of that was the information that French grain and seed growers had sat down together and come up with a plan that would be beneficial to both the beekeepers and the farmers. Bearing in mind the Irish conditions, we arranged to meet the their equivalent counterparts here in Ireland and we recently had what I would call a very positive and successful meeting with Teagsc, Tillage people, Agricultural contractors, Bord na Mona and FIBKA. (DAFM and farming bodies were invited; DAFM pulled out at the eleventh hour.).
