Armenia delivers a wealth of delights

A small country approximately one and a half times the size of Wales, Armenia is landlocked among the other countries of the Transcaucasian region. The lowest point is in the north where the Debed river exits the country at 400m, but the main low area is the arid plain of Yerevan at around 800m, rising to the highest point on Mount Aragats at 4,090m. Armenia has mostly a continental climate of hot summers and cold winters.
