MitraClip Technique Five Years after Alfieri Stitch Mitral Valve Repair

The case is described of a successful MitraClip procedure performed on an 88-year-old patient with severe mitral regurgitation (MR), five years after she had undergone mitral valve repair using the Alfieri surgical procedure. It is suggested that the MitraClip procedure is an option in patients with severe MR persisting after the Alfieri procedure.
