It might be thought that, as the author of a paper subtitled 'How I became a relational analyst' (Colman 2013), I would enjoy reading this book. In fact, many of the chapters left me wondering whether the ship to whose mast I had nailed my colours had turned out to be a rather leaky vessel, with a motley crew whose seamanship skills were either sorely lacking or very different to my own.
