THE LEIODIDAE (COLEOPTERA) OF THE BIOLOGIA CENTRALI-AMERICANA, WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF NEW SPECIES

Six species of Leiodidae mentioned by Andrew Matthews in the Biologia Centrali-Americana are treated. Five species are redescribed and/or renamed, and one species is discussed. They are: Aglyptinus horni (Matthews) (redescription and designation of lectotype male); Aglyptinus minor (Matthews) (specimen in poor condition, discussed and considered a nomen dubium); Anogdus championi Peck and Cook, new species, misidentified as Cyrtusa blandissima (Zimmerman) by Matthews; Colenis punctulata Matthews (redescription and designation of lectotype); Colenis crassicornis Matthews (redescription and designation of lectotype); Colon hondurensis Peck, 1999, misidentified as Colon clavatum Mannerheim by Matthews. A new species from Guatemala, Colon (Myloechus) matthewsi Peck and Cook, new species, is described.
