Hylis olexai (Palm) (Eucnemidae) in Devon

A recent review of my Eucnemidae reference material drew my attention to two Hylis olexai (Palm) sitting under "Microrhagus pygmaeus (Fabricius)", clearly added uncritically. The two specimens arose from survey work in the Ashclyst Forest area of the National Trust's Killerton Estate, Broadclyst, near Exeter. The first was swept on Side Downs (ST0101), 16.vii.2007, the second from Poundapit Copse (ST00), 17.vii.2007. Mendel & Clarke (1996) show this species as confined to the south-east of England, as far west as the New Forest. The NBN Atlas shows a similar distribution but with a few additional records in the East Anglia region.
