A specimen of Carabus nitens Linnaeus was seen during a field meeting of the Kirkcudbrightshire Botany Group at Culmark Moss, Kirkcudbrightshire (NX635911), at an elevation of 186m on 24 August 2019; sighting supported with a photograph.
