Potential partnership may revive Perwaja

Chinese investment group Zhiyuan has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Malaysia's Perwaja to bring the steel maker back to life.The pact includes Zhiyuan completing feasibility and technical studies within two months on a business model to operate Perwaja's main steel plant at Kemaman as well as due diligence on the company's financial affairs, including its Perwaja Steel subsidiary which owns the mill, Perwaja told the Malaysian Stock Exchange.
