摘要

The goal of converting methane into higher-value products in a cost-effective manner has proven elusive.Current approaches to utilization of methane include the Fischer-Tropsch(FT) process for producing syngas,which further can be transformed into methanol or fuels,and the oxidative coupling of methane(OCM),which yields ethylene as the main product.Both processes,however,require operating temperatures above 60CP-800 °C.Herein,the authors describe the partial oxidation of methane into C2 and C products under mild conditions using a single-stage solid electrolyte reactor,employing a proton exchange membrane fuel cell as a solid electrolyte reactor fuel cell(SER-FC) and Pd/C as an electrocatalyst.The physical characterization of Pd/C electro-catalyst is shown in Figure 1.
