Sugar tech and sugar expo March - 2000

This joint event comprising a conference and an exhibition was organised to take place on the 2nd to 6th March, 2000 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. It could be referred to as the concluding homage of the departing Century / Millenium tothe fast developing Sugar Industry, especially of India. This growth of a vitally new industry forms a special item of new renown for our industrially backward landmass and we nave rightfully won fame for this our achievement inspite of the several and imperfections that need not have been there (Surely a matter for a million regrets!) However, the industry was progressive enough to provoke such a grand and glorious gala of highly educative value. The conference was truly an inspiring occurrence and oursincere gratitude is due to the Confederation of Indian Industry for organising the same.
