APGA and IGE team up

With the Institution of Gas Engineers (IGE) joining the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA), a new and unified voice representing gas industry professionals was established. The Australian Pipeliner sat down with IGE's Craig Farrugia and Joe Calabrese to discuss the benefits the partnership brings to both organisations. The IGE's main activities are: 1. Cultivating lifelong learning by our members; 2. Advancing the interests, and raising the status of our members; 3. Maintaining members' competencies and continuing their professional development; 4. Promoting the contribution of the gas industry as widely as possible; 5. Sustaining the integrity of the industry; and, 6. Supporting professional and ethical conduct. We do this by representing the industry and being an active peak industry body, holding seminars and informal gatherings for our members at industry venues and generally providing a strong network of likeminded people supporting members in a non-competitive environment.
