Stainless prices edge higher in Europe

Europe's stainless steel producers say that base prices for forward deals for late Q1 delivery have pushed up compared to those in last month's transactions on the back of stable demand. In parts of northern Europe, prices have reached a new upper level of ?1200/t ($1592/t) while in Southern Europe prices still lag behind at the lower ?1100/t level.
