Japanese iron and steel exports rose, on a year-on-year basis, in August for the fourth month by 5.6% to 3.67mt, according to the Japan Iron and Steel Federation. But the figure was a fall of 0.4% from July's tonnage. However, in value terms, exports retreated year-on-year for a third straight month due to the strength of the Japanese currency.
