Scrap usage in crude steel output moves higher

Steel scrap consumption as an additive to production of crude steel moved higher in China, the EU and Turkey last year, according to updated figures from the Bureau of International Recycling's ferrous division. In the EU and Turkey steel scrap usage were greater than the respective upturns in crude steel production while increases in China's scrap consumption was smaller than the growth in its crude steel production.
