New EU agrochemical rules to drive industry away?

The EU pesticide industry's R&D-based companies would leave the continent for Asia and the Americas if current EU proposals to reform the EU agrochemical registration Directive (91/414) take effect,according to Terry Tooby,regulatory affairs director at UK consultancy JSC International.Mr Tooby expressed this view at the Agchem Forum conference in Amsterdam,the Netherlands,in September.
