Veterinary Industry Leader Pays It Forward2019 TVMA Veterinary Industry Representative of the Year: K. Wade Burton, DVM

Growing up on a ranchette in Killeen, Texas, K. Wade Burton, DVM, learned more than just animal husbandry and how to mow the grass. His parents also taught him the value of giving back to the community. His father served on the local school board, belonged to the Optimist Club and coached little league baseball, among other activities, and his mother participated in the PTA and band boosters. Young Dr. Burton took notice and has since incorporated altruism into his professional and personal life, allof which helped to earn him the 2019 Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) Veterinary Industry Representative of the Year Award.
