PMFAI calls for more action on Indian agrochemical regulation

The Pesticides Manufacturers and Formulators Association of India(PMFAI)has called on the Central Insecticides Board(CIB)to ensure that recommended amendments to the country's pesticide registration process are implemented.In recent years,the CIB's Registration Committee has accepted several recommendations made by an Agriculture Ministry committee,but these have yet to be put into practice,the PMFAI says.It singles out issues such as continuing delays in obtaining product approvals and excess data requirements for generic pesticides.
