Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that is becoming a widely utilized Tprocedure. Mlicroneedles (MNs) are needlelike structures with diameters in the size order of microns and lengths ranging from 250 mum to 2,000 mum. In percutaneous collagen induction (PCI) therapy, MNs penetrate the dermis and lead to the reorganization of collagen fibers and release of growth factors that stimulate the formation of new collagen, elastin, and capillaries in the skin (A. Singh & S. Yadav, 2016). Microneedling can also augment transdermal drug delivery through creation of micropores that reaches different levels of the skin depending on needle size.
