Pilot Study Evaluating a New Anatomic Model for Teaching Use Of an Inflatable Penile Prosthesis

Penile prostheses have been an option for the treatment of erectile dysfunction since 1973. However, little attention has been given to the specifics of patient teaching or the demands on clinic staff time to aid in teaching men and their partners to use the newly implanted device. This pilot study evaluated a new anatomic model for its potential usefulness in teaching men to operate the Coloplast three-piece penile prosthesis.
