BASF cuts BDO output

The BASF Petronas Sdn Bhd joint venture has temporarily halved the output of its butanediol plant at its Kuantan,Malaysia,site,just a few weeks after it came on stream in January.Full capacity of the plant is 100 kilotonnes per annum and the output reduction is expected to stay in place for the rest of the year,according to a BASF spokeperson.
