China's Bluestar Dongda plans polyol project in Nanjing

Nanjing, Jiangsu-ChemChina affiliate Bluestar Dongda plans to build a new polyether polyol project in Nanjing, Jiangsu with 270kT/year capacity. The environmental impact assessment for the project started in May. With CNY 1.1 bn ($172 m) in investment earmarked, the facilities will be partially housed in the existing plant of another group subsidiary. This is the 1,4-butanediol and tetrahydrofuran maker Bluestar New Chemical Materials, located in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park.
