China's Jiantai to build PU footwear facilities

Shaoyang,Hunan-Jiantai Footwear plans to build a 3m pair/year polyurethane footwear facility in Shaoyang,Hunan province. Jingtai plans to rent a 16,000-square-metre vacant plant in Shaodong county where the company is based,close to a provincial highway. It will pump CNY30m(24.3m)investment into the project,including CNY8m for new machinery. The local government accepted Jiantai's environmental impact assessment in November. Machinery installation and the conversion of existing facilities will take one month to complete.
