Environmental problems hit Manali production

Chennai,India-Manali Petro-_ chemicals stopped production at one polyol plant for several weeks when emissions breached an environmental permit. The company made the announcement to the Bombay Stock Exchange on 25 December 2018. This followed a notice to stop production by the Indian Central Pollution Control Board(CPCB). The order to stop followed a CPCB inspection in November 2018. The CPCB said it effluent from a treatment unit connected with Plant-1 violated permissible limits.
