French food agency reasserts safety of MON810/NK603 maize

The French food safety agency, the AFSSA, has refuted an Austrian study which claimed that consumption of Monsanto's stacked trait GM insect-resistant and glyphosate-tolerant MON810/NK603 maize posed detrimental effects for mice. The Austrian study, commissioned by the country's Ministry of Health and conducted by researchers at the University of Veterinary Medicine (Vienna), claimed to have found harmful effects from the consumption of the maize on the reproductive function in mice.
