GMO adoption to save Brazil $80 billion in a decade

The adoption of genetically modified cotton, maize and soybeans over the next ten years in Brazil will potentially save growers $80,000 million, national media report. The Brazilian seed association, the Abrasem, has presented a study from market research agency Consultancy Celeres that also predicts increased productivity that would limit expansion of necessary crop areas by up to 27% in the case of maize.
