Latin American countries comprising those in South and Central America have aroused a lot of interest in the agrochemical industry. Growth in both volume and value terms has created a rush of companies wanting to enter the market. The opportunities as well as threats to potential entrants were explained by Dr Roman Macaya of the global association of generic manufacturers, AgroCare, at the 7th International Crop Protection Meet in Istanbul, Turkey.
