Indian market hits 1.1 billion in 2007

The Indian crop protection market was valued at 1,130 million in 2007, up by 7.7% over the previous year, according to estimates provided by Pradeep Dave, president of the Pesticides Manufacturers and Formulators Association of India (PMFAI). Non-crop pesticides accounted for 370 million, while exports of active ingredients, formulations and intermediates were valued at 500 million, bringing sales in all three classes to 2,000 million.
