Background: Intracavernosal injection therapy (ICI) is central to erectile rehabilitation programs (ERP) but compliance is generally low. Men's frustration surrounding ED can lead to avoidance of sexual situations and negatively impact men's adherence to ERP. This RCT tested a novel psychological intervention based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help men overcome emotional barriers to using ICI.
